Advice and Tips on Marquee Decorations
When planning any event its important not to go ‘over the top’ when planning the decorations for the inside or outside of any function hall, party venue or event Marquee.
Here at Marquee Bar Hire, we are pleased to offer our clients some essential tips on decorations when it comes to party planning. The advice and tips which we are offering you are ALL based upon our personal experience when, we are well aware that its easy to over dress any venue for any party including, Weddings, Birthday Parties, Corporate events and many other special hospitality occasions throughout the year !
Here’s what we’d like you to remember when planning your Marquee or Function Hall Event :-
Colours – Be sure that you table cloths and napkins complement each other and look good against the walls and ceiling of the venue.
Lighting – Often soft lighting is a great way of creating an atmosphere within any venue, be sure that you can control or dim the lights in certain areas.
Coloured Lights (mood Lighting) – This is very, very effective in any venue (marquee or function hall) where you have plain walls, this is a soft lighting system which changes the wall colours to suite the theme.
Table Center Pieces – Often this is where we tend to ‘over do it’, rather than going for great dig ‘all singing and all dancing’ table centres why not opt for something simple and effective? Often as we all know in life, the simplest things are sometimes very effective.
Floor covering – In marquees you may decide to have carpet, if this is the case be sure that it goes well with your colour scheme for the marquee lining and table cloths etc.
