Pay bars are becoming more and more popular for general events nationwide. Pay Bars did used to be frowned upon but now at Weddings, Birthday Parties and Corporate events but now they are almost expected. When planning any event, the cost can easily spiral out of control, this is why its often great to allow people to pay for their drinks.

Where can pay bars be used?

Wedding receptions – At these events you may be hiring a function hall or a marquee for the event, in addition to this you’ll probably have the entertainments and catering to pay for. All though everyone likes a ‘Free Drink’ it can sometimes be costly.

 

Charity Event Pay Bar Hire – The idea of a charity event is generally to raise money. Here pay bar hire can be used to generate more money for the charity. Its often a good idea to speak to the Mobile Bar Provider and see if they’d be prepared to offer some of their bar takings towards the fundraising.

 

Corporate Pay Bar Hire – We all thing that corporate events develop form a bottomless pit of money, this is not always the case. Some of our corporate clients have been known to put some money behind the bar for some free drinks for the staff. This does work well as people feel appreciated knowing that the company had paid for some drinks.

What should I watch out for on a Pay Bar? -  Be sure that you ask the Mobile Bar provider for an upto date price list, there’s nothing worst that having an inflated price list at the event you’ve been waiting so long for. If people are having some free drinks (paid for by you) be sure the bar staff are aware that you’d rather people did not abuse the free bar.
